I saw Donyboy do a forcetec top end on a 260 and I trust his opinion. What's everyone's opinion on force tec? Or should I go with another brand?

Ive not seen an aftermarket top end that IMO was bolt on ready. It will not perform as well as oem, but if you can recognize problems and fix them, am kits have their place. As al said tho, oem is the way to go if possible.

Ive used many many brands of aftermarket kits. As said before they all needed some attention. Even the premium kits needed love, just love for more performance then for just being able to survive initial startup. I have never heard of Force Tech but i suspect its either farmer tech under another new name or maybe just a sellers name calling them his brand as the initials on the parts would have his FT. Either way if you get a cheap kit with decent plating, ports in reasonable places, shaped somewhat proper and a decent chamfer on the edges the kit will run for a good while. All of those things need to be checked before any kit is used. Now the more advanced guys will want to check base to bore squareness, check if bore concentric, piston cylinder clearance, ring gap and really the last2 should be checked by anybody building one. So sorry for the ramble and crappy punctuation but you get the idea. Check and double check everything you can and hope the stuff is good that you cant.
