The pistons are soaking to start getting the saw freed up from sitting for years. Hope I can get it running again in all it glory.
Mike

What are you using to soak the pistons?

You can shake a piston loose if it's up above the ports using an adapter made from an old plug and a grease zert .Fill a grease gun with motor oil ,it will shake it .You only have to move it about 1/8" to break it free usually .

I got a engine off a Titan saw . The piston is stuck. I have soaked it down with the aft and acetone. It has worked some . Looking at the piston through the exhaust port it has a lot of rust and crud in it. Would it be ok to put it in the glass bead cabinet and clean it up before I try and move the piston. Thanks

I would not recommend that on an aluminum piston, better to use evapo rust or even WD40 and a plastic scraper. Just my 2 cents for what its worth.
