This is what I'm saying! It all burns! If I got a load like that, I wouldn't be critiquing the lengths. Bring it... all!

But, suppose it's all cut too short, say 6" to 7" rounds and nothing longer. How on earth do you process chariot wheels into firewood logs? I have no solution to that.If I got a load like that, I wouldn't be critiquing the lengths. Bring it... all!
Split them in half, then put in OWB. May have to quarter them if really large. But, suppose it's all cut too short, say 6" to 7" rounds and nothing longer. How on earth do you process chariot wheels into frewood logs?
Chunks like that get thrown in their own pile to season, then when brought in, are separate from normal length splits. They help pack the stove if any splits aren't full length, or to sustain a low temp burn during shoulder season. Just throw a couple in at a time. But, suppose it's all cut too short, say 6" to 7" rounds and nothing longer. How on earth do you process chariot wheels into firewood logs? Haha...I call them that too! They help fill at the ends for the all night burn!I may not get as much in the stove, but I love the chunky monkeys. Stand them on end in the stove and long burning they are.
They get split and tossed into a super sack. Good for making syrup, or for spring/fall burning when I just need a small fire. But, suppose it's all cut too short, say 6" to 7" rounds and nothing longer. How on earth do you process chariot wheels into firewood logs? I have no solution to that.
Not sure what is going on with cherry trees as of late, but they are the most prevalent tree I have been cutting. Weak root structure? Root rot? Or just weak wood.
