Hickory? Is it hard to split? The bark has me wondering....
That stringiness says Hickory to me as well. but not Shagbark Hickory. It may be Bitternut Hickory.Hickory? Is it hard to split? The bark has me wondering....
That is "flat Earth" country, easy work compared to all the hilly surroundings in my area.LOTS of firewood in here to pull, would love to work with a firewood type to move it up out and maybe even sell some to pay for the hobby
I've been to Minnesota in the winter, my bar looked kinda' silly too.Tossed an 18” bar on the 066 and went cutting on the pile. Definitely silly but I haven’t run it in far too long and all but forgot what it sounded like !! Ran a tank full through it like this and put the 24” bar back on so I didn’t have to bend over so far lol

It’s not the size of bar that matters, it’s the size of the engine pushing itI've been to Minnesota in the winter, my bar looked kinda' silly too.
