Wel guys I am alway to busy, tired, or forget to take pics..... here is a job I just did with my newest addition, the 024 red-lever....

I got this saw for $40, and it only needed an AV and carb gone threw!!!!....I had this tree cut up and loaded in an hour, didn't even use a whole tank of gas in 024.....I tell ya with the 16 bar on this 024 I really like her, so much that I dont think I can sell her!!!!..... got paid $50 for this job, so this saw paid for itself already LOL!!!!

Ps----yes guys my work bench is a mess, I met a very cool local guy that sells me non-runners so I have been OBSESSIVELY rebuilding saws in any free time I have..... I also just got a non-running ms660, can NOT wait to get it going!!!!

Been working on my truckload of oak. Trying to work on it for an hour or two every day. Might have a cord and a half split and another cord bucked into rounds. It's too spread out over my property to get it all in one picture, but here's one area. There's another couple cords of pine, soft maple, poplar and ash in the big pile. That stuff is gonna turn to maple syrup in the spring of 2018.rps20170120_143449_480.jpg

This stack has been added to greatly since this pic. That piss elm trunk was 37" wide at the cut for reference. The stack is actually two stacks side by side. I filled in the left side to the t-posts and added about 6 more cords to the right. There was also a 4 cord stack to the left, but I sold half and have burned the rest so far this heating season. In a 6 mile radius, I have somewhere near 20 cords waiting on me, and that's just the low hanging fruit... Luckily the land owners around my little 5 acre patch have figured out that I like to cut, have good equipment, clean up my messes and can tackle almost anything they have and it works out. Sometimes they'll actually lend me tractors and/or dump trucks to make my life even easier... Now if I had time beyond my family and job...

Went cherry pickin my friend's tree service lot. Snagged a couple pig nut hickory logs while I was at it as well. Got it all moved, split, and stacked. IMG_4235.JPG
Rocked it out in no time with dueling Gransfors Bruks mauls.

Got a nice little stash of smoker wood going...

Then went and helped a friend fell a few more of the dead ash trees leaning over his driveway. You'd never know from the pictures that we are dropping trees in the middle of urban northside Cincinnati. His house is one of the few sanctuaries in the midst of the city madness and it always makes me laugh felling trees in the woods there.IMG_4227.JPG IMG_4228.JPG IMG_4229.JPG IMG_4230.JPG

Wait, you've got two GB mauls!? No fair!!

Hahaha nope, my buddy's mother got him one after seeing mine in action. He has two broken down splitters, so she got him one with no engine so he has no excuses. Now if I'd just hurry up and fix one of his broken chainsaws...

well guys had a nice day to cut yesterday..... I took that 024 that I got about $80 in and my beloved ms461.... I am totally impressed with the 024..... this saw cuts great with a 16" sword on her......I am positive that this saw is a very LOW hour saw.....hell I was looking at it today and thought maybe I should just clean her off and set her aside, hell I got way more saws than I need anyway!!!

.I swear it seems the 461 is still breaking in..... Anyway in my oak spot, I have cut back to a huge dangerous entanglements white, red oak, and a little hickory....I don't like cutting alone in these, so I am very careful cutting in these spots.....

Oh and I don't know how well you can see what is in that pile, but there is a lot of big, good solid wood that these loggers left behind.... seems they left a lot of good wood....what do you guys think?!?!?

I'd be all over it. Great for firewood.

Yes sir, I am the only one with permission here..... I always have been the type of guy to ask before I cut and it has always worked well for me..... the owners of this property Let me write up a little consent agreement, and now I have run of the place....still ALOT of good wood here.... this spot will easily keep me and my 2-girls warm for 4-5 years!!!!!!

I love everything about the white oak, burns great and smells even better!!!
