After a lot of searching,I finally turned up an ok Stihl Lightning.
The 75 year old owner only sold it to me because it was fairly low in compression, and he had another Lightning he uses on the big timber.
I was pretty impressed at the way this old bloke chucked his one around and sliced through a 3 foot redgum log easily. Hope i'm as good at his age!
My new saw has little compression, but is in good shape, apart from a crack in the crankcase under the pullstart.
Came with a 26" embossed Stihl bar.
so,will begin a rebuild in a few weeks, and hopefully document the process
