Well I can tell you a Randy's 395 will pull a 36" bar stupid fast in knotted pitchy fir and knotted white oak with out breaking a sweat, bar buried. It will pull a 50" buried the same.I have seen a few people ask how well they relate to each other. I'd like to start with 24" wood, most likely fir...then move on to larger wood 30",36", hopefully up to near 50" wood, to see what happens as the wood gets bigger. I know chain speed will be the deciding factor in the smaller stuff...larger stuff, I'd think, would be the more torquey setup.
I have no doubt it does!! The 395 I have does quite well too. Haven't had anything larger than a 36" on it...but noodling full bar in the base of a big maple didn't slow it down much...only reason to stop was to clear noodles. LolYes sir, a MMWS 395 is something to behold.

That was exactly my only issue too...sooner or later she just plugged up and was carrying noodles back into the cutI have no doubt it does!! The 395 I have does quite well too. After running that 50" buried, I was laughing as it was just crazy. No saw has ever made me laugh period, but damn, that was insane power it had no right having. The ported 088 went down the road after that. As for a stock 088/880, well they cannot compete even with a long bar.I have no doubt it does!! The 395 I have does quite well too. 42" is the largest I've run on mine. It doesn't seem to notice what length bar it has. Carries them all the same. After running that 50" buried, I was laughing as it was just crazy. I am far from needing A 395 but I sure am glad I got it. I'm pretty sure you don't need all the saws you have.....T. Roller, I just don't need anything bigger then my 288, that being said it has an appointment with Randy to be ported already, there is a 394 builder here that I would consider if I can get it for the right price, they sure are the sexist looking saw to me.
Lmao I heard that buddy!Shhh the wife might hear. No I don't need them all, I just need 1 more.lol
