For a tree trimmer with a ported 395 a 8 pin be the go to rim he is using it for big stuff and stumps ?

I looked it over too, very good builder by the look of it. Like Joe I was simply after different stuff. Watched a couple 2100 videos this morning and it looks like a fun Saw to run. Cool sounding idle like a 288 but deeper. 2100 is now on my list:)

It's all about what you like. Seems like a 395 with a 7 pin never really shows its true potential. Hell I ran a 10 pin and 28" with no problems until it derailed.
I would love to run that saw with a 10pin

I agree. Hell, my stock 288 pulls an 8 pin with authority. Seems like an 8 pin would put a stock 394/5 right in the sweet spot.
