Eggsplain pleez. How can new bearings have a lot of play? And why did you use them if they did?
So you assembled the case and the crank was rattling up and down?
if you hold the piston they have side to side play like the crank can move somewhat without the rod or piston moving

They are supposed to be C3 rated bearings (which means they are pretty loose) and he might not be used to that.

I did buy some 290 bearings that were awful vertical play rough when spun but that was years ago.

The crank bearings seem to be better quality now i haven't heard many complaints I've used some of them.

The one I built last month had no play. We have documented changes in the last three months. I think they watch the build threads and make changes. The kit I got in September had screws with collars that interfered with getting them tight and were a far bit longer. Those problems are now fixed.

Cool good to know have any pics is the plastics pretty nice quality or do they need some attention.

I can't find them on my phone, might have deleted it. Plastic is great, the semi solid rubber the makes up the shutter and pull tab on the spark boot is very brittle. Fuel line and manifold seem ok, but I have trust issues with those parts all the time when they are aftermarket.

All of the plastic on my saw and a lot of other parts are very nice. The critical stuff like the crank and jug and stuff aren't great

One of the kits that came in before mine had slag in all the transfers, that made me concerned. Mine came very clean though and the chamfer was good on 90% of the port surfaces. Seems like they even more machining now, added the sealing surface for the spark plug on the last kit I saw. I have a tiny tiny leak around the spark plug and I feel it was because the area around the hole was not machined on my jug.

mine had pretty bad port timing #s and the transfers literally have voids/cracks where the cast didn't fill right
