Had a chainsaw fella look over an echo cs 900 evl on EBAY and had inquired me about it. Figured I'd post my observations, to the greater Echo chainsaw group. Rather than advice to an individual, it'd be best to share my opinion of the saw.
Just read forum member woodslasher's shtty chainsaw ebay deal, to get an idea how far some sellers will go to play stupid about saw damage.
To those interested jn this recent 900 evl, I'd pass on the thing. The seller wants $950 for a damaged saw and isn't disclosing his half-assed over spray job hiding the snapped off chain brake, nor the missing tank vent. The broken top cover has been flushed up to appear as good condition. It's a "running" parts saw at best, and yall will never get yer money back.
Ive circled in blue the damage and/or missing parts. Nice orange paint though, wow good color match!
