Anybody have experience with the cs 500vl?

I generally pass over all 50 cc saws because I don't like .325 chain compared to EXL 3/8. Gave all my 40 and 50 cc saws away. Only run 60 cc and up.

But holy sht, these little 500 vl's are set up for 3/8 and have a stroke darn near as long as a cs 590/620!

My understanding is that parts availability is the only real weakness that they have. Certainly, there are many of them.still making chips today.

I personally like the 500vl, they actually run quite well. I picked this one up cheap a couple years ago in un-loved condition. It cleaned up nicely and now runs like it should.....:)20230912_071659.jpg

Echo 3410 vs 3510
I asked in chainsaw form, not much response. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two. Parts drawings look the same with different part numbers.
Thanks
Probably just the latter is an updated version of the former, as is typical for Echo. They ordinarily keep a basic design for many years with running changes. For example, my CS-500P and CS-501P. They look almost identical but don't have a huge amount of shared part numbers. And I can tell you that the changes made on the 501 are well worth it!

According to Echo's dealer training presentation, it is only a power difference. So I guess that means the cylinder and/or piston. I did not compare part numbers otherwise.

Someone has contacted me looking for an ignition (coil) for a CST-610 EVL, can anyone provide me with some direction?

Thanks,

Mark
