The quil on my Lagun mill fell with a new 7/16" drill in it just as I grabbed the part. Quil lock stupid!image.jpeg
I put a brand new 36 grit flap wheel on the grinder and turned it on... Nothing. Set it on the floor and checked the plug... Soon as I touched the plug that bastard took off, jumped the piece of SS I was working and hacked my leg, then cut its own cord and wound it up so tight I just tossed it.image.jpeg3 weeks of butterfly, thank god my wife is a nurse!

Oh yeah, make sure to put the oil cap back on the saw before picking it up......if you want your shop floor, pant leg, and boot to remain dry.

Or, be sure to relieve the pressure from a fuel tank on a saw before removing the carb......if you don't like fuel in your face.
That's the truth i pulled the fuel line off an echo 590 that's been setting for month's and the damn mix shot an honest three to four feet just about got my hard contact lenses washed out of my eyes.

. Took the rakers down a swipe to far. Boring and chasing a hard maple...Poked the nose in a little too far coming around the back. Rear handle got me in the calf.

Using a torque multiplier trying to get the yoke but off of a rig, had the little handle slid in a pipe wedged into the leaf springs, both hands on the pipe over the breaker bar pulling for all I am worth. Did not notice the pipe slipping out of the leafs. :goofy:

Cracked me so hard in the skull it knocked me cold.

Oh that had to suck.
Of all things taking the elements out of a 20 year old hot water tank to replace them 1/2 inch breaker bar with 3ft cheater pipe everything i had bearing down on it the head sheared off the breaker bar and 8 knuckles smashed into a concrete floor it was a son of a *b-word.
Cutting torch freed it up.

Those pissin carbs have got me several times, the most frustrating when I remember to relieve the pressure the first time, then do some testing, and forget to relieve the pressure the second time!

But the stupidest, jacking up the Mustang on an un level driveway. No need to block the tires, it is in gear. Damn that universal joint was hard to get apart! Good damn thing I was fast as heck back then, got out from under it just in time.

Never made that mistake again! Physically was fine, mentally terrified.

Whether you are cutting trees or working on cars, always be carefully watch for movement and step back when that tree starts to go. It will help to keep you safe.

I was putting a rear end in a 70 challenger ,there was no engine or tans in it at the time ,had front tires on it ,jack stands in rear ,it rolled forwards when i was wrestling the axle under it ,i was on a creeper ,i was pinned under the car ,thought i would be crushed at the time ,i was ok but i was holding the car up ,yelled at the kid to put the jack under the car ,he wanted to run for help ,i was like get back here and jack this thing up ,i will tell you where to place the jack ,got him to jack the car up ,i put the stands back under it ,but blocked the front tires this time and finished the job .i was on level shop concrete floor and it still rolled over .How i was not crushed i do not know ,was flat on my back pushing the car up with my arms .but could not roll out on my own as i was supporting the car .

Yep, must happen to everyone, now I dump the fuel out, run chainsaw dry, and then open up the gas cap and you still can get sprayed!
