Yes the usps isn’t what it used to be, I do understand to a point when they gut the postal service to 1/2 the people it was and a lot of small rural offices were shut down and added in with others plus using contractors to deliver a lot of the mail and it’s all combined into what we have. Not saying it’s right and I hope they could eventually get back to the old ways but unfortunately not holding my breath. When I was a kid the mail was at my house within a 15-20 minute window every day and we had the same mailman for 30 plus years. Now I get a new contractor every 6-8 months and my mail can show anywhere between 12 and 6.

You are lucky, sometimes packages will show an estimated drop time of 9pm or 10pm at times...and they do.

Mail delivery is not for the weak, I see all kinds of retired works coming back to cover their old jobs because no one wants to work!
There's a FedEx depot down from me and they can't pay people to stay longer than 3 months.
It's ridiculous.
