I was kinda thinking Stihl. The only saw i found that was 49mm is a 042. I dont know if those wer good saws or cut off saws.
The cylinder you have i think is for the TS350/360 cutoff saws but will fit a 08s chainsaw if i remember correctly which had 47mm or 44mm bores depending on the year. Putting the cutoff saw cylinder on the 08s was kind of like a big bore

Geez, I've never seen an intake like that before. LOL Glad the Stihl guys jumped in to help out with the ID.

Funny this thread was brought back up. My Dukes 262G is in the truck as my windy day saw. 40+ gusts with all of the sick ash trees still hanging on should make for some surprises out there. From the guys who've been coming in this morning stuff is going down all over the area.

Either way, I'll be getting some more time on that saw this weekend. Little firewood duty and may use it to rip some maple blocks that were too heavy to lift last week.

I wanted to put a plug in here for yet another one of the Duke’s piston & cylinder kits. This time a chrome 390xp version. I bought the top end to put on my 2186 so I could take the good OEM 54mm top end and put in a 385xpg that I will ultimately sell. Anyway, the fit & finish was excellent. The squish with no gasket came in at 0.012”. After cutting 0.040” from the band and and 0.032” from the base, I got the following timing numbers. 100, 123, 78. Given these numbers, the top end would make for a pretty strong 390 out-of- box with one of the Duke’s thin base gaskets. Anyway, I widened the exhaust, raised the primaries to 120, and widened the intake. There were no issues with plating lifting, and the compression is very stout. I am curious to see what the compression tests at after a few tanks. Thanks @Duke Thieroff for another great product.
