Do three-saw plans still exist on here?

I was down to one saw this summer MS660, that had to change I was going to buy a new MS362 when I came across an 044 for a good price. The guy even threw in a parts saw to fix my Husky 55 Rancher, and now I have fixed up the parts saw. But my favorite is the 044. with the 20" bar. I change to the 25" when I don't want to bend over.

When the current stage of my "plan" is complete, I'll have three small saws 50cc and under, three bigger saws 70-80cc and three other saws, a 60cc, a ported 90cc and a ported 72cc piece of history.

So yeah, a three saw plan...

MS201T - 14" 3/8lp - light limbing and technical canopy disassembly

One of the 50cc saws (Muffler modded MS261, MMWS 346 or currently stock 550xp wearing 16" .050-3/8) picks up where the 201 left off and runs until done, out of fuel, or the wood is getting past about 14-18" depending on species

Then, if needed, the MMWS 262xp, 562xp (w/MMWS Muffler), Stumpbroke 372xp and MMWS 9010 finishes what's left of the trunk

Not a 3 saw plan but a three tier plan.

If I had to start over today and buy new equipment? MMWS MS241C, either a MMWS Dolmar 6100, MMWS CS620 or AWOL 562xp, and a MMWS 395xp, though finding a good deal on a built 044 might take the place of the 60cc saws... Their A/V sucks, but they're truly fine pieces of equipment.

OK, so the last two times I went out to cut, I brought 3 saws one time, and used 2, and brought 4 saws the next time, and used them all.

Trouble is, they were different saws each time.

When I had to cut down some large stumps, my biggest saws went with me, and the little & mid sized ones stayed home. I used my 066 and a ported 460. When I went to drop some medium size trees, I used my 044, 440, 362 and 026. I like to have back ups with me. When I rocked the chain on the 044 (the rock was in the brush pile way off the ground and I missed it), I just put it aside and picked up the 440 and continued.

Often, I plan to do a certain amount of cutting in a certain window of time. I don't want to be changing/sharpening chains, etc. Would rather bring extra saws, all ready to go, and just keep going.

That said, I am trying to cut back some what, as I just don't want to maintain a million saws! However, opportunity keeps knocking now and then, often when you don't expect it.

I do some bucket truck tree removal at work. We have a 335xpt but I rarely use it. Mostly I use a 346OE with an 18" bar for limbing it out and sectioning it down. When things get to big for that the 394 gets passed up to to me to finish sectioning down the bigger trunks. I've been trying to get the boss to buy us a 562 for that job, the 394 is a bit much in the bucket

I'm on the 35/50/70 plan. For me the 35 is a small saw, the 50 a normal saw and the 70 a large saw. I can't ever see the need for an 80+ saw for the type of cutting that I have done or expect to do.

If ported, 35-45, 60, 88+ makes a lot of sense. Stock, would work too, just not as much fun. It all depends on the size and type of wood though as what I prefer in KS, would be overkill in Eastern Virginia and might be underkill in Australia...
