I am moving back to VA in 2 weeks. Will take me from a 2.5 hour drive to 8 hours.
What part?
That's very generous of you Joey! If I can make the time to go I may just take you up on that.[emoji106]

Just an offer. :)

If we are opening nominations I want to throw Stihlbro in the ring as an operator, he is a quiet guy who knows a ton and is a great operator.
Course he might want to enter a chain, I dunno, just spitballin'

Just so I am clear, are we gonna cut wood with the .404 or are we using it to pull tractors out of a muddy ravine?

Thank you, but I am not the operator you think.

I think Joey would be a good choice for the saw operator.

Again, thank you, but there maybe someone else that does better.

Them Hutton boys are some good dudes

Lol! Thank you Jeff!

Any big wood race for 395's

In sure we will have some big chunks.

Im gunna bring some chains for the chain race. Haven't had time to catch up on the the upcoming thread, there is gunna be another race?

:headbang:

Heads up racing in 10 x 10 cants.

id likely attend but Im not to sure I could figure out how to get there.:(

Your vehicle knows the way.

Any saw build off for this GTG? sorry if i missed it somewhere... i been working like a dog getting paid like a rat!

I'm gonna leave the build off to Wiggs. He's having a GTG in Sept.

Is beer allowed?

Here's the deal on beer. I don't drink alcohol. That said, I don't see any reason to tell anyone what they should or should not do. I'd like to see the saws all put away before any drinking begins though. And, y'all probably will see me make myself scarce if the beer starts flowing.

Now, at my house, I don't allow anyone to bring alcohol, or drugs around. This GTG is happening at the barn though. That way I don't break my own rules about such things. I'm a recovering alcoholic. I've been clean and sober for almost 11 years now. I hope that explains things.

Sittin under the tent yappin at the Pa gtg was better than running saws.

I bought this place and it was in poor condition. The barn was full of junk......

I've got it straightened up pretty well, now I just need to turn the juice back on and wire up a few more lights. No matter what the weather, we can chew the fat inside as long as we want.

Terry Landrum lives in Wartburg.

I live in Fentress county, just about two miles from the Morgan county line. My dad's folks came from the Jellico area, and my mom's people were from Elk Valley. We moved to NC when I was about 5 years old. I met a guy in NC that became my best friend. Well, his family was from Fentress county. He moved back up here, and when I was 21, I came here for a visit. I loved it here, and made this place my home. I hope I never have to live anywhere else.

As a side note.....my friend Doug moved to Florida about 25 years ago. We still talk regularly.
