I guess it is a big secret what they are getting for these. Probably means too much, the reviews I have read are favorable from climbers. Time will tell if they hold up.I believe it’s just over 7 pounds ready to cut. I’ve never seen the wood ready weight of the 2511T but they feel identical.
I need to work on my google-fu. I couldn't find a price online, everyone wanted my to give them my info before revealing it. Thanks. On eBay they’ve been in the mid $400 range. Home Depot has a place holder on their site for $499 with a note about February availability.
The saw works nice. It actually cuts instead of wearing through like the $99 junkers. I like it. Battery life will always be less than we’d like but with temps in the teens it just barely outlasted the tank of oil.
Does the saw heat up much? If so, how much, hot to the touch, can keep your hand on it without burning? Just curious.A little update if anyone is interested. Saturday was a heavy duty day of cutting with the little guy, dropping and chunking up 6” trees. Sunday was more of the regular trimming stuff cleaning off bigger trunks for firewood logs. With that kind of use the battery lasted almost 2 oil tank fulls. That worked out to trimming up and chopping brush from half a dozen beech trees. I’ll take it!
Curious about power and battery life. I do a fair number of removals with my 2511t. I would love a battery saw version.
@dirter, is that the same 1/4” sprocket for 2511t?
No heat anywhere so far. Even the battery just barely gets warm.Does the saw heat up much? If so, how much, hot to the touch, can keep your hand on it without burning? Just curious.
Nope it's definitely not the same sprocket as 2511Curious about power and battery life. I do a fair number of removals with my 2511t. I would love a battery saw version.
