In the second video when I start up Dall's saw you can see the saw pull the starter handle out of my hand. Here's what a lot of compression and to much timing advance will do to your hand. View attachment 41011
After its maiden run I checked the compression. 220 comp. Thats more then I was wanting. I also rechecked the flywheel key. I thought I had filed .030" from the key turns out I had taken .040". Don't know what I was thinking when I did that. LolView attachment 41012
Nice compression gauge! The hand doesnt look so good!! Ouch!!:D

What paint did u use?
I actually ended up using Tremclad light gray. It wasn't my first choice but the colour matched near perfect. The paint does seem a little soft. Perhaps a good coat of clear may toughen things up.
I originally wanted to use the valspar light ford gray. Everywhere I checked nobody had it. They could order it but they told me they would have to order an entire case.

PPG Single stage Urethane works great and gets hard as a rock.

Nearly as durable as powder coat, less work and expense.

There's a stock Ford color that's real close to stihl white.

A pint with all the setup is under $80 and can likely do 50 saws.

Lookin good on the hybrid.
I'm curious about slapping a solid face plate on the muffler to see if it makes any difference in performance.
I am curious about this too. @dall has the saw now. Perhaps he can give it a try and report back

I see one cut with the triple port being a couple seconds faster and one cut pretty much matching. Both solid face cuts seem to be pretty close to 15 seconds even. I think it sounds and runs better with the triple port. I guess if you need to quiet it down a bit you won't be losing anything.
