Lol!
Mike on this chain i see the top cutter is filed with sq. but the side cutter is still round. Others I see are sq filed on both.
Is this because it was just converted or is this your method?
Just converted. I don't like to waste the tooth any more than I have to.

I like Lo pro 3/8 better

I need to get a loop of full chisel like yours. I had some Carlton 3/8 lp nk semi on it at first. It was very fast, but it didn't clear noodles fast enough. I didn't have any logs in the garage big enouguh this winter, so the only way I could load this saw was by noodling. The .325 has a higher profile with more room for chips. But for general cutting, 3/8 lp is like a light saber

Not much.
I grabbed Jason's for 5 min last night. I needed a fix... Lol. And yours was sitting there with no bar...
I'm going to run them both a bit today.
Maybe a shorter bar comparison, and then a Mike Lee chain comparison!
If you wait till Tuesday, there will be 3 more 90cc saws to run that chain with

I square filed two 25" loops and one 36" loop, all 404 this morning, I'll bring a few extra 404 drives and hope you've got some HUGE wood worthy of 36" 404 !!

I've got two bars in each size, plus I'll bring my VP mixxed with (R50 & 800) @ 25:1 and some Cam 2 mixxed with Lucas @ 25:1 and some extra square files

Jeff, I have 3 044/440s and 3 046/460s. For limbing work, the 044/440s are noticeably lighter. The dry powerhead is about 3/4 lb less, and fully fueled almost a pound. You may not notice it much bucking, but you will if you are limbing.

If you are not getting them ported, you can often get the 044/440s to run just as strong as their larger brothers, put a ported 046/460 is a beast, not as strong as the 90 cc saws, but not too far away. They are really good bucking saws.

I generally prefer the 044/440 powerhead with a 20" bar, and the 046/460 with longer bars.

That is my 2 cents!
