How many aluminum chips did you cram in it? I'm guessing a few more couldn't hurt.

I'm building myself one of these in my spare time, which is none.

Anybody tried 100 on the exhaust?

I've built them all the way to 98°.

102 - 103 makes the most grunt.........but a higher exhaust is fun to run with a short bar.

So 82 or 83 should be better especially with a short bar?

Also I've not seen any gain from bridges in a smaller cc saw like these, what's your take on that? Bare in mind that I do very few saws that are less than 90cc so I'm very interested in your opinion.

If you ever cut pine ,the doug fir is a little harder for reference ,cedar is so soft it is hard to wedge because the wood collapses around it when pounding sometimes takes 2-3 wedges to tip one normally to distribute the weight .,a full skip chain helps clear the soft chips also ,full comp plugs up easier and bogs the saw .
I cut mostly Doug Fir, Oak, and Madrone. The madrone is really nice to cut and split when it's green, but it really sucks when it's dry!

I like 82 on it.

I do put bridges in em.

Not on anything smaller than the 044 though.

You tried clints at a higher intake? What number

I wrote 81.........but I just checked my notes. It's at 82.

I have bridges in my hybrid, I did not try them without though. I can't see them hurting, the hybrid makes more velocity so if you can use some of that to direct more fuel above the rings, I believe it's a good thing.

Just my way of seein it though

On a o46 or an 044, I use less intake. These hybrids are different though.
That's what I'm curious about, my 460 is 100 115 78 but I figured the hybrid would be different. Like you say randy, the more you learn the less you know. Amazing how things change from saw to saw, fascinating!
