I have heard of an issue if there wasn’t adequate airflow around the filter. But no issues if the filter could get the air.

I’m going to cut the cover and run a maxflow. I’m getting too much crap in past the hd filter.

Have you tried the Built by Sean Uni filters? I have them in my 066, 661 and 385 and they work great

So here’s the results so far. I haven’t ran it yet. I used the original filter as a frame for the foam filter. I’m thinking the increased airflow without the cover will counter any restrictions due to the double filter. I guess if it seems like it’s not getting enough air I can cut out some of the element on the original filter.

Have you tried the Built by Sean Uni filters? I have them in my 066, 661 and 385 and they work great

Also, because they go over the stock hd2, the 1/4 turn knob is much tighter with them and I have found no fines getting in

Back in the burn up Thunder Mountain. Small and tangled timber. The thought of running a 550 or 562 crossed my mind.

A strong 562 with a 28" is a good time.

562 would be a good pick in that wood. 462 Stihl too. For as nasty as it looks it looks like you’re keeping a good lay, right on man.

It certainly would be. They bunched some other pieces here, but this one is kind of a downhill/side-hill piece, and it would be difficult to get the buncher in there. A bulletproof cab in this stuff would be a little better though. This stuff is small, but as you know, plenty capable of damaging a man. Gotta stay focused when cutting this especially.
