This 32 was $118. I don’t remember what I last payed for the Stihl.
We are at the 8 mile marker. Just finished below the pavement, and now working above it.

I think the last 32 Stihl I picked up was 120 range

Okay copy that... When I was driving that I would come in the back way off of Weaver ridge. It was a zoo coming in from the bottom with all the rock trucks hauling...
Keep a punch and a extra tip around.
I had a tip spread on one, maybe 60 hrs was all. I put a new tip on it and she's back in service. I wish they came with one rivet Oregon tips...
Watch for late limbs ..later

I guess we have a job coming up in the Camus area.

I prefer an es light myself with the six rivet tip and lighter weight (28 inch es light weighs the same as a 24 inch Tsumura). Tsumura is coming out with a new lighter weight lightweight bar design later this year.

So has anyone tried cutting the air filter cover and using a maxflow filter like I have done on a 661 before maxflow made anything for it? I’ve seen pictures on here of several saws that have the cover cut down like that, just wondering if anyone has tried it with the 500i

We use these to hold license plate brackets on. Aluminum, the one is to show how they expand.

I can send you some if you want. Might take a bit to get there from Wisconsin though.
Thank you. I’m hopeful to find some locally, although the bolts are working just fine so far.

That way was probably faster for you anyway? Coming out in Tenmile? Copy that on the extra tip.

I have pretty much stuck with the Stihl lights, but decided to try something new.

I haven’t personally, but I am aware of a few fallers in the area who have.

I could be wrong but I believe @Moparmyway has a maxflo on his 500i.

Mr. @Moparmyway , would you mind sharing your filter setup?

Men,
I can NOT hold a candle to these guys that are using the 500i each and every day. I’m just a little more than a regular firewooder, on a good day.

That being said, I’ve cut back a little bit of the plastics that would normally surround the stock air filter and see how the MaxFlow could clogg up. If Joseph (MaxFlow owner) is designing something for the 500i, I’d be happy to help, but what I’m seeing shows me that the stock cover restrictions are not helping the MaxFlow achieve the full potential of its abilities

Do you use traditional cut or bore cut those big pines? It's probable that the Stihl tips hold up better than the Tsumura tips.
Beautiful country up there.
Mostly traditional cuts. I will bore them if they have a heavy lean, or if I want to get the heck away from the stump in a hurry.
