I got it on Friday, and will hopefully put it on tomorrow or Tuesday. Hopefully it’ll do the trick.

Let me know if it does probably will be picking up a set for running a 36. Be interesting to know what the springs are from as well.

cool! Be interested to hear your take on it. Was debating trying out a Barkbox on my 500 or 462 and just noticed it. Great thread btw!
Thanks. I’m glad I noticed the kit as well. Definitely my number one complaint about the saw, and this might take care of it, so that would be nice.

I'd hold off on the bark box. I've seen another one of them break this past week. There is another guy making mufflers called egan straight shot. They aren't as pretty but it's cheaper.

I don't think the bark box uses any filler in it's welds.

If my bark box falls apart I'm just going to increase the port size and tig weld it back together.

Edit: only thing I don't like about the Egan is there's no deflector so it's aimed at case.

The spring and foam piece sure look like 661, but not for sure. Maybe 462. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I wouldn’t think it was 462. They have soft antivibe with a 28”. And he said the next kit is gonna be for a 462. I’m thinking that spring may be a one off but I don’t know for sure

Not mine, just another one that I've seen cracked off.

I haven't even got real hours on the 500 yet I've only done like 3 jobs and now it looks like I'll be in Florida for most of the year non saw related. So add another year to the list that I can't go to the GTG.

Good news is with the per diem I'm going to buy a 451C grinder so there's that.

I’ve been using mine in production falling without an issue maybe luck of the draw.

It definitely feels a bit better, but I have yet to cut trees with it. I’ll do that tomorrow. The rubber bushings on the side are definitely better than the stock ones.
