We renovate properties full time and Groundi recently discovered "Totally Awesome". That product works really well on most of the stuff we encounter as a result of bad housekeeping. We had found a partially filled bottle abandoned in one of our rental properties and hunted down the source. Couldn't believe we could get a bottle of it for a buck. It's one of her go to cleaners now in a long list. Never tried it on fuel tank gunk though.I had some "totally awesome " from the dollar store clean a tank. I had already tried several solvents. Its orange oil so smells good if nothing else.

Purple power is lye (sodium hydroxide) based so be careful with skin contact. I use it often and give my hands a chemical peel everytime. The "Purple Power" from wally world along with adding BB's for aggregate, worked suprisingly well for "cheap cleaner" with great results... I'd give it a two thumbs-up!
