I don't know what I'm doing for sure yet. I want to get it stock running first. I know the muffler and ign timing are first to go.

Cleaned up to runnable but not perfect. I think I'll use it for testing and look for a good oem jug to put final numbers in.

Guys keep your eyes peeled for a good one.

Got a farmertec piston from d Dave to run in the jug I cleaned up thought I'd test theories in it and do final porting in the one from Dallas.

I cleaned up the FT piston some. Normally not a big fan of doing much to a piston but I saw lots of room for improvement

Made my own gasket for 18 thou sq.

Running one caber ring

Hole punches are real handy to have for gasket making.

I like a gasket for heat separation

I use the needle nose as a way to grip wrist pins.

Look at how tight the base is. Also the cut out for the skirts. Well thought out.

Here is a pic when the new jug was shipped from Dallas

Here is the comp on the new jug before Dallas took it down. This is with gasket installed. Pretty typical of a healthy saw. Well I know I want more comp. the jug went to Joey to take 20 thou off the squish and cut the base. Being the type of fella he is. He also bead blasted it. I'm hoping to see 180-190 psi.

What do you guys think of the slag in the transfer port in the last pic?

Slag = Swirl inducer...

Notice the inside radius on the transfers? (Cylinder side)

Is it just the picture? Or does the ex side transfer have more material? Creating more of a radius?

I think this would be a great jug to run stock, and then port. I bet pretty good gains are possible with the sloppiness inside the uppers
