I'm in the same boat...I sent him a 066 almost two years ago...as a free port job, so definitely no complaints as far as that goes.

It is disappointing to see someone ruin their name like this. I have never really thought about checking much into mine..had to replace the coil on it after a couple tanks of fuel, and honestly, have not run it much since. Knowing the saw was well used as a falling saw, it makes me wonder if he went through it as he said he would. One thing I. Priced right off, is the chain brake no longer worked upon getting it back.

I hope there are not too many others that got the shaft like this poor fellow...

I can reconcile *s-wordty work with he had a bad day or something. But selling something that is not even close to what you claim is pure dishonesty.
Anyone can throw new plastics on a saw.
That doesn't make it a NOS rebuild.

Does the saw have a good bar and chain setup? I would help towards something like that of its needed. Would make sense if it was bought in the states though
