After looking at his work in replacing the oil pump line in this 064, I can't believe he was very experienced as a saw mechanic.

Maybe six month's ago i first heard of him.

No one answered my question on how the *f-wording crank looked i want to know if there was play in it and also if it was the rust covered one posted in the locked 064 thread by Jeremy

Got back from Yellowknife a few weeks ago. Nice to visit but no way I would live there. Just too bleak - the biggest tree I saw was a scrub coniferous 6" in diameter! And nothing but rock and water (and diamonds!). The fishing is pretty good though, so they have that going for them.

I've never cleaned the case out to inspect it.

i think its time to clean the case out and see if there is play in the crank and was it rusty when you opened it up like the one in the beginning of this thread

im not going back through 15 or 20 pages for pictures or links to your photobucket

in the locked 064 thread concretegazer linked in here you had posted a picture of a saw with a broken rusted crank inset in the case i was asking if the picture was the one of edwads is all

could it have locked up and broke
could it have had a bad bearing and rust loosened up allowing it to have slop and bust off the piston

could it been knocking after it warmed up so the first couple cuts was ok and no noise until it got warmed up

we need this answered

hello hello my friend.
Have not been around that much, summer wasnt that good, but I'm in progress again lol
Old farts like me need to do less chainsaws and less TV watching, nowadays I put in the effort to do 2×3 km walks

I dont know Jason at all, I've only seen him posting here in his time and he seemed okey, the thread on AS and also this one show who Jason really are.

Those were pics I got from Facebook.
Hijacked from Brad.
And for the record....I had no clue who the saw belonged to at the time.
Never found out until after I posted when @Keith Gandy shed some light for me.
