put a blank steel plate over the front hole. test it. then use a unibit step drill and increase the size testing on each 1/8" or 1/4" stepThis is the cover on my 026 I've been second guessing how much I opened the front up.

Dam now I'm going to have make all new mufflers for saws, I got 2 pipes coming out front at angles on all of themNext time I run both saws going to be swapping covers. I've thought about cutting a piece of metal and sliding it in and out like a stock muffler screen slides in.
The ol boys down south with the muffler race saws go right out of the muffler.
Gotta be some wave reflection.Now........don't be too hasty.
