So I swapped on an OEM top end and a Meteor. Going to run it a few heat cycles, then time it. As I have stated earlier I think the FarmerTech jug was simply never going to make stock RPM let alone exceed the power. It may have if I had tooling and a Foredom complete with a right angle hand piece.... but I do not nor do I have space for them.

I will say for the price, the FarmerTech jug bolts on and runs. Would it get someone back to cutting firewood? Yes it certainly would. That top end cost less than this Meteor alone... so that becomes a factor.

Depending on free time today may get some cuts in with it today...may not. Tomorrow will be pretty wet if the guessers are correct so if it does not happen today it'll have to wait.

I also sold the chains I had at some point in the last year. All I have left in .063 .325 is the chain I replaced for a customer in a hurry. It should live a little longer....maybe.

I think that flywheel has too many fins...holding me back!

That flywheel is a big air vane, knock off every second fin and it will let the saw rev higher.;)

OK... found a few minutes and ran this thing briefly. Leaving everything else the same, swapping to OEM jug and Meteor the saw turned 15,600. I brought it back down a bit to seat the rings and heat cycle it. All seems fine. Runs like every other stock 026 I've had... a bit under impressive.

That being said I cannot locate my "high dollar degree wheel" so I am going to break down and order an 11" wheel. Yes I know it'll have to hang off the bench but that's OK. Bigger gives a more precise measurement easier.

Stay tuned.
