Nice list of saws you have.
My name is Dave and i am a recovering CAD addict. I am in remission and have narrowed it down to 10 saws or so. I still need a few more to be completely healed. I plan on staying in remission but if I fall off the wagon dont tell my wife.

Dave,

At least you're attempting recovery.

I have (at least) 30 saws, bidding on 6 on eBay right now, and scouring CL everyday.

I cut around 4 cords of wood a year, and last I checked, I can only use one at a time.

Yeah, it makes complete sense....

Lol...this sounds exactly like me!! I do get a chance to, once a year, help the local high school with their football fundraiser. I'll bring 4-5 saws...a self loader will unload a full load of logs. Myself and other volunteers get to work then. Here is a photo of my runner huskies...have 5 other projects...

You know you've got it bad when you have to build another building just to have someplace to put them all.

I haven't built a whole new building yet, but I did build a new 8' workbench with extra lights and a set of shelves dedicated to saws in my garage.

I got my first saw about 10 years ago, a MS310. Then I found AS after searching for the biggest bar I could use.

After a weekend of reading I realized that the 310 was a POS saw and went back to my dealer who took it back and I bought a MS460.

I then joined AS and about 3 months later I then bought a 346 and a 7900 and sent my 460 off to Sling'r to get ported. Those saws suited me fine for several years. I then got into firearms and sold all those saws except my 346. I figured I can only cut with 1 saw at a time......

Over the past 1 1/2 years I have gotten back into saws and I have no idea on what I have. I then have gotten into the repair business and parts selling end of things. Now I am buying truck loads of saw. I have a old school barn built in 1900. I now have the whole second floor dedicated to parts saws and saw storage.

I am considering cutting back though to

I'm in year 33 with CAD. Some years it's almost in remission, other years it flares badly. If not for sites like this, I would have thought the disease was rare. The old Interweb is great, however it has made old saws more expensive. Most of
my early CAD finds were 5 or 10 bucks. Well that's a long enough break..gotta get back to craigslist.

I started with a husky 51, bought new in 1993. Dad gave me a jred 625 15 years ago. After searching for seals for the 625, it became a 670. Bought an 039 parts saw to put my good motor in... fixed the carb and sold it. Found an ms310 carcass to put the 039 motor in. Bought an 034s for $20. Bought a toasted 7900. Bought an 026 pro. Dad gave me an 026 and 028s. Bought a jred 630 and converted it to 272xp.

Picked up a box full of 066, 044, 046, and 395. Just recently got an 066 put back together to add to the runners. All for 10 face cords per year
