Yep. I've put them together with rough ports and bevels to try before polishing. Didn't gain a bit from polishing the portsAin't that the truth. I've seen some beautiful port work that was slow as hell.
......but I'm excited to start on the Solos again.
Build thread - build thread- build thread.Yeah, but you'll be happy with it when I finally let it go.

If the 385 is the same as a 390. The intake flange is 32mm on a 390. It's 30mm on a 7910. IIRC. I know the 390 xp is 2mm bigger. 372xp is the same as a 7910.How different is the 372 intake boot to the 385? Was planning on using a 385 on my 7900 with the rwj carb, but I'm not to that point yet.
Lies, lies, lies, I feel like I am constantly being lied to.....
Mastermind - "Yeah, but you'll be happy with it when I finally let it go."
AdirondackStihl - "Shirts are being printed as I type this."
D.A.C. - "This'll only hurt for a little while..."
The wife - "If you let me sleep now, I'll blow you in the shower in the morning."
All a bunch of fuggin' lies.
So when are you gonna port it?Ok boys lend me yours ears and I'll tell ya what I did. I'm very happy with both of these saws now!
Opinions and criticism welcome. Lol.
Someday I may learn what the heck I'm doing! So when are you gonna port it?
Excellent. I'll put that in my notes! Ya forgot to Mention though there all T25s instead if T27s.Well Carl, if you need any help/tips, just holler. I've become quite the expert on these Solo's.
For instance, I found out most of the bolts respond well to a "Lefty-loosey, righty-tighty" approach.
