I’ve ran a couple of gallons since the rebuild and wanted to check all the hardware was tight and that there was nothing untoward internally so far. Everything seems good. I could probably take the Amsoil saber from the 40:1 I’m currently at to 32:1 without any issues of spooge, but at 40:1 it’s decent in the hand held trimmers and blowers so it’s a compromise otherwise I’d drop to 32:1.

Amsoil seems to go good . I've been running 40:1 blasting some monster bluegum with a 661 and havnt had a problem . I don't think you would need 32:1 unless your spinning bigger rpm? Correct me if I'm wrong tho

32:1 more for the bearing longevity than anything else,

Always enjoy aussie wood cutting stuff. I have a thread about it around here somewhere...

32:1 cuz it's easy to mix, ha!

I'm sure ams would be fine at 50:1 since it can be run at 100:1

Glad you enjoyed it :) yes I was told 32:1 for bearings as squareground said. Seeing the results rogue60 got with thousands of hours in Aussi heat and woods on castrol activ, I have that too. That burns clean in all my hand held at 32:1 and probably 25:1 too even in those low load engines (leaf blowers, trimmers etc) like he uses in the bigger saws. Just the smell gives me a bit of a headache so I tend to grab saber if I can and it’s available. The price sucks at 30 USD per quart (including shipping) but it’s cheaper than bar oil! That stuff is like money spraying off the bar tip LOL.
