BIG saw?

Me and a my logger buddy walked out a little patch of timber today,lots of these on it and these are why I have a 395,he runs a 064/066 and it will cut most of these trees but the 95 will get the biggest ones.

How big of bars are they running Jason?

Most loggers around here are running 660/390 with 25"

24 or 28
Either will cut down a huge tree but cutting grade timber I like a bar that will reach through somewhere on it so I can match cuts easily.

Nice poplar. I love cutting that stuff with a nice filed chain. Throw big chips.

Everyone here runs a 660/661 or 395
With a 24" 99% of the time
A 70cc saw is some lighter and will run a 24 ok but get use to the bigger saw boring and cutting big crotch limbs off you will not like the 70cc at all.
I would never be able to sell any saw smaller than 90cc here,they just won't use them and I don't either

Is it stock?
A stock 390 is not going to run with a stock 661,a ported 390 won't run with a ported 661 either.

Send it before I send the 661 back.
I'll run them with the same bar and chain In the same wood.

I have a 372 also and a 394. Will leave all those Stihl saws for you to have.

Hang 28" of 404 on a 372 and bury it and someone will wish they would have brought the 390 or 395
