I didn't write down the the numbers, but I want to say 99 120+ and 78. Something like that, felt it was good enough as is to run as a base line. Thoughts?
Not yet,not looking forward to.Did you check compression?
Should be less than 200.
It's back to stock setting.Back the timing off a bit if you bumped it.
Not flooding. My right arm isn't the best. My other 064 ,I can start. This one is just mean. Are you sure it's not flooding. I can pull over a 90cc saw with over 200# but a similar saw with 165# gets a little fuel in the cylinder and I damn near rip my hand off.

doesnt it have a decomp valve
Once it gets fuel,it pops on every slight pull and rips the cord out of my hand .That's why I put the D handle on.But that only destroyed the recoil. Plug never looks wet like it's flooded. Tomorrow might be the happy day. Will it kick like that on the first pull after sitting for a few days? The pop off might be just low enough to let too much fuel in but not flood.
Sounds like timing is off, I had a two slot flywheel that if I put on wrong would do the same thing.Once it gets fuel,it pops on every slight pull and rips the cord out of my hand .That's why I put the D handle on.But that only destroyed the recoil. if it was a std saw , i would say yesSounds like timing is off, I had a two slot flywheel that if I put on wrong would do the same thing.
ThisI got an 064/066 hybrid here aka "The Unicorn" that will rip the cord right out of my hand if I don't pull it like I mean it. Get some fuel in it and you're SOL. And that's with under 200 psi.
I'd say you have to check compression before you do a single other thing. Seat of pants compression feeling means nothing. If you're really at 180 psi, you're gonna look for other reasons starting is hard and leave it alone.
If you have to lower compression, the proper way would be to put the jug on the lathe and open the edge of the band/chamber interface upwards at an angle. So basically cut up into the chamber at like a 60* angle to make the chamber larger.
Opening squish is easier but not the right way.
Something I will check. It is the dual slot flywheel. It was popping before, that's why I set it back to stock.Still may be in the wrong setting.Sounds like timing is off, I had a two slot flywheel that if I put on wrong would do the same thing.
This saw is a bit rugged on my arm and shoulder. When I do the compression test, that will tell me.Can you pull it over with the saw in the off position?
This is kinda what I was looking for.Need to figure out how to make that type of cut with my lathe.I got an 064/066 hybrid here aka "The Unicorn" that will rip the cord right out of my hand if I don't pull it like I mean it. Get some fuel in it and you're SOL. And that's with under 200 psi.
