The H1R I bought a quart of seems great, but in a can or a husky fuel tank looks like straight gas so it'll be the only quart I buy
I liked the h1r milling ,but limbing under low loads i had a pretty wet muffler from unburned mix ,stuff is kind of thick for normal saw use .but protects real well .

I visited the inside of the Bel Ray plant in NJ many years ago when I was big into dirt bikes.

Oh boy...
He asked what the "best" was.
So...

IMO it is the best if you want to spend that kind of coin.

Cool Cool!

Any oil any one of these guys recommended is good to run.

I tested H1R on many many builds in stock and angry form. It does as these guys say. If you need the best go for it. If you want dependability it can be found in many many oils and the blends do have their place and they do "burn" better. H1R is tough to burn. More than 40to1 and it shows it's self in the exhaust. Miss the tune just a bit fat and you will be wearing and tasting it. 50to1 H1R does the best I have found @ that ratio. I run 40to1 in everything now. Sale saws get 50to1 Saber or any Ams semi and a fat tune when leaving. Elevation, humidity and daily temperature plays hell with a "good tune." Spend your time there, "at the tune" and stop worrying about oil and mix ratio. This where your time is best spent to get maximum life out of a tool with mixed gas. Most synthetics do not burn much if at all.

Now bury this oil thread.

Just picked up two of those and @mdavlee has one of them. I know neither of us have ran it yet and it may be some time. Likely next fall for me.

I like a little 927 blend, particularly in the summer.

I've run it mixed in their 40:1 fuel. I hated H1R. Couldn't get enough fuel through some carbs with it. It might protect great if the saw isn't ported to the edge of the carb delivery.

Agreed

Ran in to that problem one time and it haunted me. Ported 361 with that stock undersized carb. With a 28" bar full comp it could be H tuned to 1 1/2 and beyond made no difference burried in the cut. It was always going lean after ten seconds under heavy load. I dought many even notice that.
