Bench saw holder homemade!

Finally finished the chainsaw vise. I had been waiting on a friend to TIG it together. My welds looks like pigeon droppings. The only thing I bought for the project was the vertical shaft. It is stainless A304. The 1018 steel round stock I was going to use was too soft. It wanted to gall where it pivots in the base.

Neat. I wonder if you could mod a bottle jack. Looks similar.
