I like their tool board too!

Philbert
Just informative this board are 7- 8 diferent parts so what tools you buy you can bay and the board number for theese tools , each part of the board cost about 70-80 euros ( i speak for here europe the chainsawbholder that you see is about 600 eu but if you make or find a ball about 7 cm diameter is very easy to do it

I made a little progress on the vise I've been building. It isn't done yet. Here are some pics of the project.

Drilled plate. 8 equally spaced holes will allow the Saw to be rotated and locked in position.

Plate has been turned down until round and now is drilled for retaining bolt.

Ok now the question I have to ask is why. What is the advantage to having one of these?

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
This is the only one I plan on making. If someone is wanting some help with a specific part, holes located, drilled, bored... I'm not against helping them out.
Here are some pics of the lathes and mills.DSCN2472.JPG

I have more trouble chasing the parts I take off the saws than I do the saw itself. Lol. Parts, tools, my mind. I seem to lose everything nowadays.

I think I hate you...or I'm just jealous ...I'm not sure yet..... :babeando:
Thanks,(I think).
I gotta be honest, I don't own the mill in the corner or the smaller lathe. My neighbor is a toolmaker and keeps them at my shop.

Man I could screw up all kinds of chit if I had a neighbor with a mill, or a lathe....(or a screw driver...)
You're a lucky dude.
Luv the shop.

More chainsaw vise pics.
The locking pin is 5/8" necked down to 3/8".
20160204_132655.jpg
The locking pin tubing needs a shoulder in the bore. I tapped 3/4" threads, jammed a bolt in it and cut it off.
20160204_120859.jpg The pin was necked down to accommodate a spring. I saved valve body springs from my days of rebuilding automotive transmission.
20160204_121452.jpg
That's all I have for now. It is ready to be welded together. I dropped it off at a friends shop for welding. His TIG welds look nicer than my MIG welds.
I'll post pictures when I get it back in a few weeks.
