Just had a little fun with my new burrs this morning... And I think it's definitely ruined now.

I'm just more impresed by some builder's work, now. The lowers, the intake and the exhaust, well, that's not too hard to gring, but how in the hell can you do that to the uppers @blsnelling ??

The good point, my new burrs are great, I was afraid to get chinese crap (it already happened once withe the 1st I ordered), but this is really good stuff for the price. I got them on Amazon,

The intake can be more square... no need for rounded edges there.

I've got a bunch of poor mans ported videos on my channel...shows a cheap setup to do the uppers.

Much of what I learned from porting came from just looking at what Brad has done. ... MM photos, and even some from Terry. Gotta look at lots of photos to see what other guys are doing and why. ...and give credit where credit is due.

Looks damn good for your first time. Better than I did on many.

The exhaust roof and floor. Did you touch them?

As for the uppers, you really need a right angle handpiece to do them. A dremel 90*attachment will not work.

I don't have the experience many here have, but the best advise I can give you is "Less is More" with porting. Keep the intake/tunnels/uppers as small and tight as you can. You only need them to flow what you need them to flow and you wanna maintain velocity.

I hate to bring him up again, but have you seen JMS ports? They're huge, so rpm and short bar power are there, but once you load the saw, it's a dog. The velocity needs to be maintained.
