Okay so just completed my first basket case saw a Stihl 290. Needed a piston carb and muffler, got it in pieces. No porting done just a rebuild. My question is what would you all say was your best and worst rebuild? Sorry no pictures but we all know what a 290 looks like.

Could make it a 390 for not much more money.

Yes but a friend had the piston and as of right now only have $30 all together into it. Going to sell it and buy the 390 kit for my saw.
