Lol no way I could afford that

Ahhh grasshopper, one must be wise to the ways of the Aged...
yes it a greater initial investment commitment BUT:

more useful towing
better fuel mileage
wayyy more cooler
chicks dig DIESEL
and...
you will always sell a diesel for more then a gasser. ROI on a diesel is tremendous...gassers all die a slow rotted death.
Diesels live in eternity !!!!

trucks should be DIESEL.... anything else is just a tall station wagon for moms

The problem with that is to many ass hats have bought diesels and messed it up for the guys that need them for working.

Watch out who our calling an asshat Wayne. I’m on my 4th diesel and while I don’t work mine for a living when I do need to work it I have it. I won’t have a gasser for my truck ever again. We do a have a gas car and the wife’s suv is a gas but they also both have turbos which is a little dangerous as they are much quicker than you’d expect

Easy now I was referring to bro-dozers.

Because they were sick of rebuilding transmissions twice a year...

190k on my OEM 48 re

trans can be " bullet proofed" for about 3k, anyone of 10 trans guys are happy to do it for you. Never an issue afterwards...can you say that about a 6.0 powerjoke disaster ?

Nope. Those seem to be a nightmare. A buddy has one he put $3or 4k into chasing electrical issues. 6 months later it quit again and they said $6k to fix. It just sits in his yard

I have ford and dodge. Fords a 7.3, one 5.9 and one 6.7. I love them all for different reasons. 6.7 is my work truck and stays hooked up.
6.7 Cummins. I’ve had 05 and 07 duramax.

Of all of them the 7.3 has had the lowest cost of ownership when I factor repairs<odometer. In fairness, the 5.9 that I bought was plagued with the issues that were hidden. It cost me six grand to get that squared away, but since then it’s been fantastic. With diesels you’re going to pay at the tank and pay in the shop, but it’s a vehicle that you will have many years beyond when the payment stop.
