I find that so funny, pairing up a ported saw with sub par chains.
Even go the distance and square file/grind said chains.

If one were to use a quality chain, a stock saw and a good round file/grind would most likely yield similar end results.

Yeah, I forgot to mention utilizing expensive bars yet looking for cheaper chains.

It is like driving Your tweaked out sports car with gold plated rims on hardware store brand tires.

No disrespect intended!

I'm just jealous I didn't get in on some of the deals he's gotten on them clones.

Anybody who can afford tweaked chainsaws has no ground to ask anybody to pay anything chainsaw related for him - or anything else for that matter.

And as I wrote a couple times, use whatever You want!
But don't be butt hurt if not everyone agrees to Your opinion on a specific product.

To me Archer chain is like an AMD computer processor.
It may be a good product for many people and I am glad AMD is around to compete with Intel.
But I will always choose an Intel CPU over an AMD.

I am truly glad Archer, TriLink and any other generic or no name chainsaw chain brands are around, they keep the quality brand manufacturers in check.

You seem upset some of us get good use out of the Archer for some reason.
Makes no sense to me
If it didn't work well I'd say so.

I am just trying to give my opinion on the matter.

I am even willing to go back and delete my posts in this thread.

Please don't. The different experiences of this product should be noted by folks.
I had a good experience, you did not, I believe this to be more about what we received than perceived.
Same thing happened to me with parts, they swear they are the manufacturer, then you receive stuff with other makers marks and everything from good to absolute garbage and all in-between. This has been a problem and seems to be one going forward.

I concur...it's absolutely human to have different experiences, opinions, and perspectives on anything.
Reading this thread has helped me tremendously.

I've seen alot of breaks with tri-link chain in the park service so its kind of turned me off of buying Archer brand from China, but if someone else makes a better product I'm in.
As long as Oregon chain is making EXL anybody would have a hard time selling me on another brand.

Battery saw, slow speed - the Archer chain will perform acceptable.

Recently I got a good feel for TriLink chains on two occasions , they ARE very good for bucking mud covered logs.
No speed daemons though!

I have no idea whether it's slow or not!
Never heard of "fps" for chainsaw chain speed, only "m/s" - meter per second.

To me FPS is a video gaming world expression.

I simply assumed that a battery powered chainsaw will not achieve the chain speed of a modern 2-stroke chainsaw.
