PAST Any interest in a NC GTG?

I'm located in Burlington been shooting mostly 308, 7 mag and 300 RUM. I'm off every Sunday sounds good to me. I also have a few other firearms

Here is my 300 RUM

300RUM & 7mm are a bit much for my steel out to 250yds.
Its 1/2" AR500, but the velocity is a killer.
308 is fine all day long at 100yds on out.

Sweet I don't have anything quite that fancy I shoot 175 smk at 2500 fps out of a remington 700 adl it does 1 hole groups at 100 yards if I do my part

Those can be real good shooters for sure. All about having fun and learning we should try and get together soon

I am in the process of trying to find people in the Statesville, NC area to get something started. I think I am doing it the hard way. I put an add out on Facebook Market Place looking for individuals interested. Yes, this will help get new faces on the scene, but they will have little to no experience. But, we all had to start somewhere....one or two may come out that has done this before, who knows. Well, I plan on getting a list of names, then having an interest meeting of sorts.

Was this a good way to start, or am I approaching this the wrong way?

I had around 10 hits locally that were interested. That was my ultimate goal, getting the locals interested. I didn't try too hard here. I kinda figured I could give a good month or two notice for a GTG and post it here and get a decent crowd. Not too worried about that. I think I planned it out all wrong. Wrong location, maybe, but FB Marketplace may not have been a good place to post it.

I have moved from Statesville, and I am now closer to Greensboro. I have gone to Mountain Heritage Day at Western Carolina University and that is usually the last Saturday of September every year.
