Absolutely I edited it I meant the tsumura light and tough compared to the tsumura lw
I have several powermatch they seem to have improved over the year's
I've got some 90s vintage floppy bastards in the shop the new one's are better.
I have a vintage 90s floppy bastard non light weight 36" oregon on my 661 as of this morning LOL pulled the 404 32" bar off this morning as last night i accidentally put the tip to dirt while doing some cutting.... square ground really doesnt like that.... its now been converted to round ground, as i burned 2 files to half way attempt to put a square edge back on, and mostly failed, potentially due to how hard stihl 404 square skip teeth are...

New bar/chain i usually set it with no visual droop in the chain, and snug to the point that i can (while tugging pretty hard) JUST (like 1/16" max) pull the drive link out of the channel in the middle of the bar
That's about how I tension them too. Even RS stretches a little on the first tank or two....This NEOTEC chain had zero...first time I've seen that on a new chain. Maybe if I'd been cutting something harder than dead spruce? At any rate. Good chain.

I worked a deal with V-Modest for some overstock chains they have on the Zon. I've used a 36" and a 24" and they worked as well as any of the other Chinese chains, which is pretty good now days. I do get a very very tiny commission on any bought with this code. Edit: the link does work but doesn't show up in the post for some reason. The code is AR5IYOC0WOVZ7 for 50% off
Well crap now I can't get the code to work. Never mind, I'll try to get it figured out.

I tried using your code but it automatically took 50% off before i could add it.

Ah, good. I don't really buy stuff on Amazon so I'm not real up to speed with it. I just ask my wife to get whatever it is and it shows up in a day or two. She's kind of good that way :)

What are your thoughts on power match vs Tsumura durability wise. I'm in need of a 36" D009 for mostly milling purposes. The Oregon is about $100... Tsumura about $150...Is it worth the difference in cost?
Tsumura hands down my favorite
I'm still running my 80s vintage total super bars and tipton Tsumura manufactured bar's
They always far outlasted Oregon in my use
Windsor and cannon made fine bars also
Oregon has greatly improved in the past 10 year's I'm running at least 6 versacut aluminum cores and a 4 solid bars.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy Oregon now
But honestly I'd get a pile of the china bars because I'd bend or damage a bar more often than wear one out.

So I fired up the nh895 after I looked it over a bit. Started up in 7 pulls, idled good. Reved it up a bit, just didn't sound like it was getting to full speed. Found out the throttle is not opening all the way with the trigger fully pressed. It had a stop it's supposed to hit bit it only gets about 3/4 of the way there. I took a picture it fully pressed. I sent neotec an email but haven't heard back yet. Any ideas how to fix this if they don't do anything about it?20240511_131713~2.jpg

Make sure the cable is in it's recess on the handle.

I took the side covers off the handle and it's in the holder. Maybe the cable is too long? I've never messed with throttle cables, only linkages. I don't really know how to fix it.

If the cable sleeve isn't in the proper recess for the cable to travel
Sometimes they won't fully open.
I unhook the upper cable and use a hemostat to make sure the bottom is seated correctly
It may be that simple.

Ok, I'll wait to see if neotec replies. Is the 395 cable hooked up just like a 372 cable? I built a 372 kit once but the cable was already in the handle, I just had to hook it to the carb. It worked fine.

I’ve had a few 372s like that too. My fix is to strip a small length of insulation from a 14ga wire, split it, then pull the outer cable cover out of that bracket on the carb & put the insulation on the cable and up into the bracket. Refit the cable and you’re good to go. Essentially it’s just lengthening the outer cover like you would adjusting the old dirt bike brake cables.
