Here is the ported version before raising the trans to 120. This is with a completely stock carb, and air filter.

So you ended with the exhaust at 102 and transfers at 120?

How much better did the saw run at 18* Blowdown vs. 23*?

Think you'll sneak the exhaust back up towards 100?

It runs a little better, pulls enough more air that it sucks the choke shut as soon as the throttle is pegged. I have video of it uploadin.....

It still feels doggy at high end, I think you're right that it could use a little more exhaust; we'll see....

I really think it could use more carb for sure.

This one has a HDA 138; same throttle and veturi as the 346. I also tried a Bing 48 off a 667 and couldn't tell any difference, other than how it tuned. The Bing doesn't really have a venturi, just a swell and a bump. I'll post pictures of each after I get this video loaded!
