How does it compare to a 501p?
Yup, and then port the 361 and blow away the little echo..... then port the 7310 and blow away the 361. Never ends does it? LolThat's impressive porting results Joe. Almost a hp more with 10 less cc compared to a 361. Oh boy, the Echo debate deepens.

I see. So same saw with a plastic handle? What's the difference in the coil? Cuz I've ran a 490 and a 501 it's not. $300 at the dealer days for a 4910 is tempting if all you're giving up is the handle material.Same p/c

A little?! Give him a break!I'd say it improved a little!!!
Big gains on the 8000 too! She was pretty pathetic stock lol. Doesn't the 800 have a better cylinder than the 8000? Capable of more power?
Nice, you boring the carb out yet?
The next time you got a wj115 or 300 tilly from a 395 and wj67/wj69 from a 660 on the bench measure the venturis.... a significant difference. 19.05 vs 17.6mm. The butterfly is also smaller. The wj39 394 carb is larger than the 395 carb as well at 18.45mm. I have had good luck with opening the venturi 1mm on the 395 and thinning the shafts. The needle seat hole is also smaller on the 395 carb vs the 660 carb. Jetting is similar though. I guess it depends on the porting one does for how much carb mods will affect gain? Mine responded well. No, just normal cylinder porting and muffler mods
