Wow, congrats to Mike (CFB), I did not think what you did there was possible! And if I were DEET's, I would not touch that saw … it also runs fantastic!

I've got two great running 77 cc saws … was using one on Red Oak today and it goes through it like butter … but I'm not in the league with these two hybrids. Holly Crap, the Holly Grail has been discovered and they are Hybrids!!!

Amazing work on both saws guys … I'm truly in disbelief!

i concur. Not beating up on OP for how he does it, not one bit. It “would” be ideal if the load was computer controlled and applied the exact same on every saw. Not saying he doesn’t, from the videos i have seen it looks pretty consistent, but to remove any and all doubt it needs to be -00% the same every time. No, I do not know how to make the load the same. Just speaking for sake of scientific method. Please don’t beat me with dull chains

That 0.00% variable is not really possible. Everything has a margin of error.

Auto load valve, sounds good. But another 1k$+ option by the time I get it All working right.

Those are intended for more predictable power plants. You have to set all the parameters to where you think the power is going to be etc.

Most agree they are very difficult to dial in on higher power 2 strokes.

Let alone trying to measure almost 0 tq on some of the smaller saws.

This was the reason I went with a reputable dyno company. They have everything already figured out after selling systems from 1hp to 6000 +hp.

In hopes of being "accepted" as semi reliable data.

I'm not loosing it Jeff, and that saw runs fantastic, but it is not competitive with these two hybrids. Mike must have discovered some new tricks since he did my saw, so credit to him!!!

If anyone can’t handle the results, don’t send your saw.
We could be having a nice discussion about how Mikes saw beat mine.
:D
It’s only one piece of the puzzle. If only it had a good chain and smooth operator I might have something. Lol

Easy buddy. Its a discussion. No accusations of bias being made. We are spit balling to assist, not critiquing and criticizing. I’m sure the same thoughts have already run through his head, there are people here who have already done this type of set up who can offer some insight. That’s all.
Hah! I just stopped in in between wrangling twenty somethings ripping willows out of our beach area and thought Joe was taking *s-word. Sorry to ruin the vibe. Carry on!

Deets I remember you mentioned your hybrid had the stock HD17... what carb do you have in your hybrid Mike? HD11 or HD50 with larger jet? Shafts thinned/venturi cleaned up? Stock?

HD11. Shafts thinned. No other carb mods
