I had a customer use it at 80:1 in an 088 I ported for him. The big end rod bearing melted.

Why would you pay money to port an expensive saw, then subject it to "let's see how little oil we can use" experiments? Reminds me of those dummies who would drop 40k on a new Avalon but couldn't be bothered to change the oil even every 7500 miles.

Yeah, me too. I've driven the last 650,000 miles on 10,000 mile oil changes in 3 cars.
Current Toyota has 204K on 0w-20 oil.
Drive on!

Some engines will take it, some won't. It varies a lot nowadays

First car went 299K with bulk mineral oil and OEM filters from the dealer.
2nd one drove it 160K same deal.
Both Saturn Vues. One a GM motor, the other a Honda. Traded it for the current Toyota bought new. It runs 0w-20 synthetic bulk and OEM filter from the dealer.

My Dad was a GM mechanic and changed oil religiously at 2K.
He still asks how many miles I have on my car and just shakes his head![emoji2]

I have 296k on my 1998 Mazda 626. The rear main leaks about a half quart every 1000 miles. Been using full synthetic changed every 2k since I have had it the past 6 years. My sister bought it from the original owner with like 14k on the clock in 2000.
