I'm going good Wayne, how about you? Just rebuilt this 181 for a very good friend of mine. We go cutting together and it's his only saw.
The 181 a great saw , and as you know an arm and shoulder beater Lol , did you get that 090 together ? I’m doing good buddy, sure do like those old Huskies,IMG_3755.jpegIMG_4036.jpeg

Good on you! How's the 266 going? I haven't actually stripped down the 090 yet, I've got all the parts, just need to find time! Hopefully at the end of the year I'll get onto it.

Looking forward to getting the rest of mine here/going. A 288 by @Stump Shot and one by @Crocky28

Maybe have enough junk to build one or two more…maybe an xtra displacement…
You will need to come up with a good clutch cover out of your stash or in your travels as this one is broken where the rubber bushing holds it from sideways movement. It's fine for now while I have it here and for testing, just when you get it back and before you hang a long bar on it and get it in that petrified wood you have there. 🪵

The one I got from Duke’s fit my 288 just fine with the wrap handle.

Quick question, I'm mounting a 28" 3003 bar on my 288, how many drive links do I need, saw has a 8pin on it, and standard chain won't fit

I assume you mean Stihl bar for MS660(part number starting at 3003)? You need to lengthen the mounting hole a bit toward the nose of the bar to make it fit. A file would do. I think the chain adjuster hole should be drill larger too.

There are utube vids on modding Stihl bars for Husky. Not hard but a bit involved. I forget who makes the needed spacer.

Both

Mark @Crocky28 and
Steve @Stump Shot

Extremely solid, down to earth and very easy to deal with. Either one, you will be in very good hands.

OFF TOPIC: all saws by these two, all non 288's, start super easy and dead drop reliable!

Happy and safe cutting!

Are there different flywheels for this chassis? I swapped mine and now have a bad accel lag that won’t tune out.
