And the current husky covers are gloss too. Its basically impossible to match husky plastics though. Very difficult finding the right orange...worse when we add glass fiber to it it messes with the colors too....ugh

You gotta take them to a CNC Place. Buy a sheet and have them cut out. Then sell them.
I know a guy who has and probably would do that, but 181 wraps that need the spacers are scarce enough I doubt I'd sell too terribly many, and pro safety already makes the 272 dogs.

How's parts availability looking on these 288's for the near future? Always had a thing for them. If prob buy a new one, but still things break. Or is a 390 a better bet?

Robin Wood can still get new 288s built for markets outta the US, so parts availability will probably not be an issue any time soon.

Pro Safety made a nice 181/288 wrap. There is an fbook 288 group where the moderator was trying to get them to make another run of them.

Which Pro Safety version did they want? The ones that looked like oem Husky wraps (rounded corners) or the ones that were shaped like an 048 Stihl wrap?

I only know of one version. It looks similar to an OEM 288 wrap but it's a little larger all around, the tube is slightly larger diameter and the rear mount is way more substantial.

Here is a picture without the spacer, it adds 1/4" from the tank to the bottom tube.

The one on the far left is the 048 style wrap I was talking about. A buddy has (had?) a 288 with that wrap on it as well so I know there are a few of those wraps floating around, but they aren’t common.

That's like an 1100CD patterned full wrap with the angled corners.

I think that's a USA Handle (USA handle was the brand name). The guy that was making those lived fairly close to Madsen's shop in Centralia and I remember those being available for
181/281/288s back in the day. There was also one for the 266/272. Does yours use the aluminum spacer block?
