The brake band on my metal flag 281 is broken, will a band from a metal flag 61 fit? They look very similar and 61 and 281 clutches are the same diameter.

Im not 100% here but I believe they are the same.

Part numbers are the same so I think you are good to go.

I have heard that same thing. I have the metal flag for my 281 and the band is broke. I was looking for one for a while. That went to the back burner for a while.

A lot of work bringing an old relic like that back to life. That saw doesn't look like it had seen a lot of use before being abandoned to the scrap heap. Luv the sound of them - they sound like a little orange muscle car.
